Birds @ Elaleni

A standout at Elaleni Coastal Forest Estate over the past couple of weeks has been the overwhelming reaction from residents and visitors to the amazing bird life on site.

With the forest boardwalk going up quickly, we are now able to access secluded parts of the Elaleni forest which is the last remaining swamp fig tree forest of its kind on the North Coast and discover the natural environment these birds call home.

We have had so many people send us pictures of the birds on the estate that we have decided to start a bird list at Elaleni. If anyone snaps a shot of a bird on site they can send it through to our new email address; birds@elalenihoa.co.za . We will keep track of interesting bird sightings and share them on our blog each month.

We will also be organizing more bird watching opportunities and activities on site in future, keep an eye on our blog for more details to follow. Here are some of the unique bird sightings spotted at Elaleni during August.
